Straighten-Up Organizing

When there is so much to do, and so little time to do it in, we often find ourselves collecting clutter and becoming disorganized.  Nancy Rothwell, owner of Straighten-Up Organizing, LLC, has helped hundreds of individuals and families organize their homes and businesses. Areas she has helped organize include garages, kitchens, offices, toy rooms, craft rooms, closets, attics, photo albums, vehicles, purses, and paper areas.  Currently, Nancy is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers, a member of the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization, and a member of Faithfull Organizers.

 "It all started when I was about eight years old," explains Nancy.  "I was at my friends house and noticed how well-polished her organizing skills were, and I remembered I wanted to be just like that."

 Years later Nancy helped a friend organize a kitchen when she was approached days later by another person and was asked how much she charges for her organizing help.  Apparently, her disorganized-kitchen friend told everyone about Nancy's amazing organizing skill.

 "Word of mouth has really been a big help in getting my name out there," reports Nancy.

 Word spreads fast, and now mother of two, Nancy, found her niche and launched Straighten-Up Organizing, LLC in 2003 and helps families and businesses organize all over the state of Wisconsin.

 "The biggest struggle has really been in determining which direction to take my business.  There are so many areas that want my help, but I find myself facing time constraints.  I have a lot going on and there isn't always enough time in the day to do everything," says Nancy. 

 "Western Dairyland has really helped me to get started as a business owner," states Nancy.  "I worked with Julie Bollinger at Western Dairyland to help create my website."

 Straighten-Up Organizing, LLC continues to prosper as Nancy leads many seminars, workshops, and lectures to help people learn tips for organizing.  She has also inspired her husband to pursue entrepreneurship with a complimentary business, Not Just Closets, LLC, which was started two years ago.  Not Just Closets, LLC designs and installs storage systems for closets, garages, offices, laundry rooms, pantries, and many other areas.

 "I have found my calling," explains Nancy as she reflects on the success of her business.  "I have a strong trust in God, and I will continue to rely on Him to lead me in the direction He wants me to go."
