The Business Enterprise Center provides assistance for small
and micro business startup and business expansion in Buffalo,
Eau Claire, Jackson, and Trempeleau counties in Wisconsin.
The program includes group as well as one-on-one training
and assistance to develop and prepare a business plan. In
addition, our staff can assist in determining financing options.
In some cases income-eligible individuals may apply for access
to Western Dairyland's Loan Guarantee Fund.
We tailor our program to each individual business based on
need. Our program offers training in record keeping, understanding
your financial statements, budgeting, cash flow, marketing,
Internet use, market research, web page development, and more.
Once the business has started, we offer ongoing consultation
and management technical assistance at your business. Our
staff can assist in the setup of record keeping systems, inventory
systems, job description marketing, advertising tools, and
more. Business owners who have computer knowledge, but lack
access to equipment may apply for a computer through our Computer
Lending Library or use the Business Enterprise Center's Computer
Lab.

at low and no fee to those individuals who qualify as
low-income workers in Buffalo, Eau Claire, Jackson and
Trempeleau counties. Other business ventures may be referred
to our Women's Business Center. |

| Yes! Our training and information is customized specifically
for the business you already operate or the one you hope
to start. We deal with your financial situation, your
market and your business idea. |
| Do we provide
assistance to refugees? |
| Yes! One-on-one assistance is available to refugees
wishing to start or expand businesses in West Central
Wisconsin. Our Refugee Project can also provide direct
loans of up to $10,000 to our project clients. |
Enrollment Information
Anyone who is thinking of starting or already engaged in
a small business and who has a desire to develop a business
plan and improve their business management skills in invited
to apply for enrollment.
